The company’s initiation into the material handling equipment business began in 1990 when Steve Gilbert, founder, sold one forklift on behalf of a friend and business associate, under the trade name Steve Gilbert Forklift Co.

Today under a new name and ownership the Company has developed into a full service dealership,with three locations in Atlantic Canada, fully stocked parts and service centers, and represents some of the major lift truck and industrial equipment manufacturers.

Hurricane’s reputation for knowledgeable and experienced staff have allowed the company to become Hyundai’s 3rd largest dealer in North America.
